About us

Who we are, how we work, and why everything we build goes back into the open-source ecosystem.

Who we are

Two engineers, good friends and enthusiastic about work. Applied AI combined with the mechanical and process engineering needed for industrial applications.

By combining the software and hardware component, we can deliver integrated systems fast and effective.

How we work

Young, engaged, and close to the problem.

We move quickly, stay involved, and use current methods. We work mainly with small and medium-sized companies, and price engineering so it is available from the first idea rather than only once a capital budget exists.

Engineering is not done at a distance. We come to the site, measure, experiment and develop as the problem requires — on the shop floor, in the lab, or next to the belt — and with your personnel rather than around them. Operators and process people already know most of what an outsider would spend weeks establishing.

Open source, open access

We are part of the open-source ecosystem and put code back into it.

The tools we build on are open source. This gives a strong foundation for advanced and fast-moving projects. By working open source, we can guarantee that your product remains affordable and is always state of the art. We also want to give back to society by sharing newly developed code where possible.

As a small company we take the risk of platform dependence seriously. Lock-in buys integration and costs you supplier choice and price competition. An open delivery is the opposite: another supplier can read and build on it, so there is always an alternative supplier.

Contributing back also widens access. Engineering, science and computing are tools that should be available to more people — in the Netherlands, across Europe, and where funding for high-tech software is scarce and an open-source tool chain is the way forward.

What that means for what you buy

You own what is specific to your line: the trained model and its weights, your training data, and the simulation cases and drawings we produce for you. The frameworks underneath are open source, which keeps them accessible and usable for new developers too.
